VECINO - The best Korean-Mexican eatery in Sydney

WHERE: In the inner west suburb of Canterbury underneath a block of apartments beside the train station.

WHY: For the only Korean-Mexican fusion experience in Sydney (that I'm aware of).

MVP: The honey cream prawn tacos is a consummated marriage between the two cuisines, pairing bouncy and crispy deep-fried prawns, a dulcet honey cream sauce, and a sprinkling of salsa and avocado for that Mexican flourish. The definition of moreish.

WTF: Not sure why the side of cheese sticks comes with chips, but more chips is never a problem in my books.

IN A NUTSHELL: A satisfying and intriguing fusion which works to a degree but feels gimmicky at times. It's neither the best Korean nor Mexican cuisine we've had in Sydney, but if you can't make up your mind between the two and fancy a bit of both worlds in the same venue, Vecino is your answer.
